Gail Guth of Guth Illustration & Design recently created 10 illustrations for a reading skills book called The Skunk, developed by the Center For The Collaborative Classroom.

The illustrations depict a year in the life of a skunk, as she encounters wild turkeys and bobcats, hunts for a home to hibernate, and gives birth to her babies. The content for each illustration is set by the client, but the final design was up to Gail; in this case, depicting the skunk and the log required a bit of artistic license to see the skunk from outside.
