Art director and 2D animator Mark Giles produced the following animated video for the World Health Organization (WHO) to explain the condition and treatment of skin conditions psoriasis and eczema. Specializing in developing explainer videos that cover a variety of topics relating to science, medicine, and technology, Giles has worked in the commercial art and illustration industry for over thirty years. While majority of animated explainer videos on the internet are generated from libraries of syndicated clip art, Giles adds a personalized touch to communication projects through incorporating original drawings. The following explainer video was produced from concept to completion, where Giles created all original illustrations, design, animation, and music used in this scientific communication project.
Giles works in Adobe After Effects, Animate, Illustrator, Flash, Photoshop, and Dragonframe. Some of his key clients include WHO, UN, UNICEF, Microbicide Trials Network, US Soybean Board, Nike, Columbia, USDAF, Rolls Royce, Saab, Coca Cola, State DNRs, British Airways.
