This week, the Medical Illustration & Animation Sourcebook highlights recent work from Carol Hrejsa.
Illustrator: Carol Hrejsa
Project: The Foundation and Art of Robotic Surgery
About the Project: “Carol played a key role in creating illustrations for The Foundation and Art of Robotic Surgery, collaborating with the Body Scientific International team. This first-of-its-kind surgical atlas focuses on the DaVinci Robotic System and includes over 900 meticulously detailed anatomical and surgeon’s point-of-view illustrations. As a senior medical illustrator, Carol’s contributions helped shape the atlas, which recently earned an Award of Excellence from the Association of Medical Illustrators at the 2024 annual conference.”
