Recently we have attended two key European events in Biotechnology and Aesthetic medicine – D.B.T in Wiesbaden (Germany) and AMWC in Monaco.
We are grateful for all the meaningful discussions and connections during the two events.
Here are some insights from German Biotechnology days:
The medical industry faces several challenges, and many topics are currently being widely discussed. Another topic is the need for an accurate diagnosis to avoid ineffective broad-spectrum therapy, which can be ineffective up to 90% of the time. There is also a great expectation for a breakthrough in neurology similar to those seen in oncology over the last few years.
The spread of insect-borne infections is another issue, particularly in Asia and Africa, where these infections are becoming increasingly common. Climate change is a significant factor in this trend, and it has also made these infections relevant for Southern Europe. Therefore, there is a growing need for the development of vaccines to address this issue.
The biotech industry also faces challenges related to funding and personnel. Many companies are in constant search of funding, and as a result, most of them try to access the US capital market. This has created a need for effective communication tools. Additionally, the industry is facing a shortage of skilled personnel, including C-level executives, marketers, and communicators.
The AMWC is truly a remarkable event that brings together the brightest minds in the aesthetic industry from all around the world. It’s fascinating to see how companies showcase their cutting-edge products and technologies, which have the potential to transform the way we approach beauty and wellness. From the latest injectables and fillers to innovative equipment for non-invasive skin treatments and body sculpting, the range of products on display is truly astounding. Moreover, it’s awe-inspiring to witness the groundbreaking research and development efforts of young biotechs, who are pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the field of aesthetics with their unique developments that promise minimal side effects. All in all, the AMWC is a captivating event that offers a glimpse into the exciting future of the aesthetic industry.
The industry faces challenges in terms of gaining trust from doctors and end consumers, which is why scientific research is presented and discussed.
The industry is focused on stopping aging processes, with some companies boldly claiming to offer age reversal, and emphasizing the importance of skin science. Additionally, major companies stress the importance of a comprehensive approach, as healthy skin is dependent on overall health and well-being.
