For a while I’ve been struggling to integrate hard drawn lines within a glowing and mysterious painting. These are heading in this direction.

I’d like to think that the crinkled surface is good and adds to the work. But this may be wishful thinking. I had gotten good at keeping a smooth surface. So much so that my work was starting to feel like posters. So I’ve been working less anal retentively and creating a more uneven surface. With these I may I’ve gone too far. Also, the milky whitish may be distracting.
Obviously these are just my opinions. And my opinion has nothing to do with my work. I set out to do something specific in a painting. I rarely achieve what I am going for. But in the process I find something entirely different that resonates with me and then pursue that.
