From our founder’s humble beginning as a freelancer trying to balance kids, to a world-class studio, we’re thrilled to share our journey with you.
The SayoStudio Science Communication Story
SayoStudio was founded with a simple yet powerful mission: to bring attention and creative clarity to the complex world of science, engineering, and technology. We believe that the key to fostering innovation and discovery lies in making these intricate concepts accessible and captivating for a wider audience.
Led by our Creative Director, Nicolle R. Fuller, a visionary with a background in science and years of experience in producing award-winning science art, we’ve built a team to further our mission to create world-class, creative, and scientifically accurate science visual communication.
A Year of Design Studio Success and Growth
This past year we’ve welcomed incredible collaborators (stay tuned for introductions and more features soon!), and we’ve had the opportunity to work with scientists to depict their cutting-edge discoveries.
A few highlights from the year include:
- Astronomer and exoplanet hunter Ted Bergin released his research looking at the composition of exoplanets, and how we can better search for carbon-based planets.
- UCSC released their pangenome, a monumental undertaking on par with the release of the human genome that brings needed representation to our understanding of genomic diversity.
- Tempe, Arizona highlighted their complex groundwater retrieval system, which distributes freshwater directly from aquifers deep beneath the Earth.
As we celebrate our 16th anniversary, we’re proud of our accomplishments and excited about the journey ahead. We remain committed to our vision of making science, engineering, and technology not only understandable but also awe-inspiring.
