Gross structures depicted include the portal vein, liver, stomach, pancreas, intestines, and mesenteric lymph nodes. Microscopic structures include portal triads in the liver, hepatocytes, and Kuppfer cells.

Adriana is a freelance illustrator and animator for the biomedical research, healthcare, and educational industries. She takes commissions for 3D animations, digital illustrations, and traditional illustrations and has created images for websites, posters, presentations, publications, and billboards. Adriana works with clients to make technical figures for studies, animations for medical curriculums, or illustrations to educate the public.
She was recently awarded the BioCommunications Association’s BioImages 2016 Merit Award for Medical Education in Motion Media Division.
