“Pathways of Tear Film Production" – Award of Merit

  • A Clear Head Model.” This project began with a full head model that needed to be simplified to reduce costs and serve as an effective leave-behind in doctor’s offices. Carol Hrejsa, MS, CMI, led the anatomy research and illustration, simplifying complex anatomy to clearly show the connection between the tear ducts and nasal passage. Special thanks to Monica Wierzbicki, MS, for her outstanding work on the 3D model, which included both the clear head and the raised relief portion of the printed anatomy. We also extend our gratitude to Marcelo Oliver, MFA, for his exceptional project management and direction, overseeing the production and delivery of thousands of models to our customer, Viatris.
