Scott Leighton is a Board Certified Medical Illustrator who holds the position of Senior Medical and Scientific Illustrator at the New England Journal of Medicine.
Scott is also the founder and principal of Medicus Media, a biomedical illustration studio focused on the visual communication of complex medical and scientific ideas. Often depicting concepts that are not visible to the human eye, Medicus Media develops captivating imagery that offers insight and understanding into challenging scientific and medical issues. Creatively blending art and science, their images inform and educate both professionals and patients.
Medicus Media works closely with researchers, physicians, publishers and creative directors to create outstanding images for patient education media, medical publishing and pharmaceutical advertising. They have created images, design solutions and presentations for companies including Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, Smith & Nephew, Harvard Health Publications, Weill Cornell Medical College, Partners Healthcare, and many others.
