New dino art and Valentine Cards

Here is my first shot at drawing a velociraptor, something I have been wanting to do for awhile. Of course I had to make it feathered as new discoveries have made the typical “Jurassic Park versions” of these creatures inaccurate. From Wikipedia: “In September 2007, researchers found quill knobs on the forearm of a Velociraptor found in Mongolia.

[10] These bumps on bird wing bones show where feathers anchor, and their presence on Velociraptor indicate it too had feathers.

“It is done is scratchboard – painted in black ink and then the details are lifted out with a blade.

I thought it would be prefect for some fun Valentine cards this year! You Enraptor me! Available now on ETSY!
