Lizzie Harper recently completed natural history illustrations for the Field Studies Council’s publications department to use in a fold out chart of edible British plants.
The FSC used a team of botanists to make sure that the illustrations were scientifically accurate and to include all the salient points needed to identify the plants in the wild. The chart is also structured with a key that instantly tells the user what part of the plant is edible.
On the reverse of the chart is extensive information about when and where to forage, how to use the plants, a few recipes, and ways to stay within the law as you go foraging.
