Conceptual illustration of an incident of poachers massacring 650 African Elephants using automatic weapons and grenades.

One of the worst incidents of African Elephant poaching took place in 2012 in Bouba Ndjida National Park in Cameroon, when over 650 elephants were slaughtered over a three month period. The poachers were well organized and used AK 47 automatic rifles, grenades and machetes, and killed babies as well as mature elephants. Two versions of the 3D conceptual artwork were created as part of Marc’s ongoing personal project, “Endangered”.
